When involuntary emotional responses do occur, we label them as anxiety, stress or psychosomatic issues. We become preoccupied with finding a logical explanation for our reactions so we can regain control.
The resulting over reliance on the logical part of our brain to manage the emotional response ensures we neglect the intuitive and imaginative sub-conscious part which stores the memory that causes it. Consequently we often find ouselves feeling angry, frustrated or powerless because our logic is unable to stop the unwanted behaviour.
The central theme of my work with an individual is to identify and resolve
the emotion that triggers the unwanted behaviour.
I work in partnership with individuals to discover the cause of their problem
and to establish ways to overcome its impact
