I am aware that it can be very frustrating and demoralising to have tried a number of different therapies and therapists but still the changes you desire have eluded you. It can seem as if you will never be the person you know you can be. In my experience, the range of approaches I use, can enable you to succeed.
Whilst I have extensive experience of successfully treating a vast range of problems I have a particular interest and expertise in the following areas:
Panic, Anxiety & Stress:
Although a person may realise that a panic attack is fuelled by their imagination, it does not curb the frightening and real feelings generated during the experience. The first attack starts without warning and thereafter a person tries to use logic to discover the trigger in order to establish control again. In my experience, there are broadly two types of experience:
- The attacks start in the late teens or twenties as a person gains more responsibilities and get progressively worse until a plateau is reached.
- Attacks, which start as a result of a serious or traumatic event e.g. bereavement.

Depression represents the way we manage our emotions and the associated beliefs that we learnt earlier in our lives. In some instances there is also a need to address the "tiredness" which can accompany the depression
I work with individuals to identify the feelings that need to be expressed and identify the underlying emotional causes. I particularly favour the use of coaching techniques to help individuals embrace their lives again
Chronic Fatigue & M.E. (Myalgic Encephalopathy)
The presenting issues are typically prolonged tiredness, confusion or extreme anxiety etc. Generally individuals initially have struggled to obtain a diagnosis and then tried various treatments to resolve the problem but the condition still does not seem to be getting better. I generally prefer clients to either have had or be currently going through extensive medical examination.
I work with each individual to identify the underlying beliefs that maintain the condition and need to be changed. Whilst this is a difficult area, I have extensive experience of this issue and consequently regular success working with clients and facilitate real long term changes to occur.
Many approaches seek to use logic and analysis to resolve the feelings generated by trauma. Sadly this often leads to raising anger, frustration and a sense of failure. My approach acknowledges this and provides you with the tools you need to succeed.
My experience includes successfully assisting individuals resolve a variety of traumatic events ranging from experience of crime, abuse to abandonment. I am committed to a service which is confidential, promotes trust and is sensitive to the individual and his or her needs.
Relationship & Sexual Issues
Finding our way through the complexities of a relationship, can sometimes feel like tiptoeing through a minefield. When a relationship starts to feel more like work than fun, we begin to question if we are on the right track. Why keep going when the excitement fades or when we keep hurting each other?
Everybody I see has a theory about why the problem exists. But despite his or her best efforts the problem or behaviour persists. I help identify the root causes of the problem and the conflicting feelings that exist on a conscious and unconscious level and enable them to start enjoying their life again.
Once an individual has achieved competency in sport or business the next step is to deliver sustained peak performance. Teaching individuals Waking Hypnosis and various techniques I can help you achieve this and remove any obstacles that may be inhibiting your capability and performance.
My experience includes individuals who have competed nationally and internationally, individuals who have represented their county or club, business start-ups through to leaders of multinationals etc.

There are serious medical risks associated with being overweight which include heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes, cancer and joint problems.
You need to realise that over 90% of diets fail because dieting pushes the body into starvation mode, which makes weight loss harder. When individuals try to lose weight we begin to associate foods as “good” or “bad” and we seek low calorie alternatives to the usual foods and drinks we consume. At the end of the diet nothing has changed we still have a “sweet tooth.” Losing weight is not just about “will power." It is important to change what we eat and how we eat.
Our emotions can become linked with food in our early childhood. Once these links have established themselves, food becomes a means to meet an emotional need. Once this link has been removed you can eat healthily, lose weight, and regain control of your weight.
Weight & Eating Issues
In childhood our emotions can become entangled with our relationship with food because of the control we perceive that we gain through the relationship. Consequently food becomes a means to safely express our emotions and exert control. The fusion of therapies that I offer can allow individuals to renegotiate the relationship and can help you to resolve eating problems.
Smoking...help to quit smoking

All smokers know that smoking is bad for your health. “Scare tactics” regarding possible consequences are of little value. I work with individuals to discover and explore the emotions that compel an individual to smoke despite to impact of their health, children, family etc. Once these are fully addressed an individual will stop easily.
